You Only Get So Many of These

I thought since the spring is finally here again, that it was time to bring back this feature here at the swing.

I know in my heart you only get so many sunrises and sunsets so I try to enjoy each one I can. It's really nice, that when I see one of these shaping up in the early morning or early evening, I can jump in the truck drive the block to the beach, and watch it in all it's glory.

This is a particularly beautiful one don't you think. Do you landlocked folks know what they say about red sunrises and sunsets?

Here's a gem the Captain taught me, and it's very true you will find.

Red sky at morning, sailors take warning.
Red sky at night; Sailors delight.

Enjoy.
Love,
The Bumpkin

I would love nothing more than to take in a sunrise and/or sunset with you sweetie. There is something so tranquil and full of promise watching the sun go up and come down. This is a beautiful post, and that picture is amazing! XOXO

LOVE your picture! And no, the folks who live inland have no idea what they are missing. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing. I missed them the most during my 3 years of jail, oops I mean living inland. :-)
Have a fabulous week! XOXO

Hi there, I've had a good time catching up on your posts. Interesting clip with the editorial. Loved the pretty blue dress too and more :)

You are lucky to live so near the water, it's so calming.

Hope you enjoyed your Easter, we had a great time,

xoxo

Bonjour,
Just wanted to thank you for following along and your kind comment. Now I've found your fabulous blog. Gorgeous sunset - my father used that quote about the sailor's delight - he served in the Navy out of high school and always had to stop to see a sunset!
I'll be following along and will be back soon.
