Dear noreply-comment@blogger.com

I have sent you 1000 well typed, creative, and funny comments. You are ugly to me and always return them mailer demon. You leave me some very thoughtful comments on a regular basis, and while I truly appreciate everything you say, and would love to reply to you, I am left holding the basket. I get so excited still when I see your name pop up, but have to save your comments to a later date when I can take the time to go back to your authors blog and leave a comment on their posts. I am getting old noreply-comment, and by the time I get there I haven't forgotten what my witty reply to your statements should be, and I am left to wing it. I wish you would simply drop off the face of the earth noreply.
Love,
The Bumpkin

Seriously, everyone please fix this, so I can talk to you, and if you are new to all of this, I want to tell you, you are limiting yourselves. I have made more friends and followers from the comment sections of other blogs, than I have from the people who actually have visited the Swing. The big bloggers reply to my comments, we have pleasant conversation starting with the re:. Before you know it, I wake up, and bam I have a new follower of significant status, and I'm in!
If you are afraid of stalkers just make up a new email address to put in this column, no need to send it to your personal email address. Gmail will give you all the names you want, for free. You can pick whoever you want to be, doesn't matter to me, DebbieDoesDallas@gmail.com, Iamsociallyunacceptable@gmail.com, Lovelylittleblogger@gmail.com, bumpkinyouareabitch@aol.com, ilovegreenmartians@msn.com, whatever, just please don't be noreply-comment@blogger.com.
Now, ladies check this, and for the love of all things good, put an email address in that one little block, and keep The Bumpkin sane for a few more years.

Mwah!

I totally agree!!! I hate realizing that I can't comment back to my readers especially when they ask a question...It's hard to answer with no email address :(

I have a Wordpress blog and a plugin that automatically sends an e-mail to my commenters with my replies to their comments if they leave their e-mail addresses. When someone doesn't leave his or her address, I take it sooooooooo personally. I'm like, "Why would you not want to get the reply that I so carefully constructed especially for you?!"

Ahhh, the Internet.
