Academy of Country Music Awards~The Bumpkin's Picks

Let's start it off with America's girl Taylor Swift. Awing in lavender embroidered Marchesa, you can't see them, but she also wore CLous. My kinda girl!

From the graceful princess above, to the hottie here below. She's gonna be a beauty in a few years, a mega~beauty of our time I believe. This is a 5.0 Charley bustier, along with Hudson jean leggins, and Everbody Boots for her performance.

Although Carrie Underwear (as John says) is the bride to be, this young lady stole best dress of the night right out from under her. No designer yet this morning, and that's really freaking aggravating to us fashion bloggers, by the way. Julianne Hough is my Best Dressed. Stunning wouldn't you say?

Nude dream come true. I hate that there is no notations of the designer anywhere on the internet this morning. Does anyone know who designed Carrie Underwood's dress? Uh.
My second favorite of the night.

The Bumpkin loves having Fashion Diva's to work out my problems for me. Simone from The Bottom of the Ironing Basket, solved the dilemma for me: Simone wrote:

According to my British newspaper, the dress that that Carrie is wearing is by Basil Soda - and Miranda's dress, (just in case you change your mind;)) is by Pamella Roland.:)

If you don't know Simone you better click here and get over there. I've already told you ladies once, if you didn't listen, then get your booties moving, you are missing out.

Nicole Kidman was looking great in her L'Wren Scott. Everyone hooted about the shoes, isn't the gladiator look over? Please tell me it's over.

Again no clue on the designer, but who cares, no one wants this dress. The Captain said, "Come 'ere honey and see that little hottie girl Miranda, she borrowed her dress from her grandma." Enough said, my man nailed it!
Just a note, notice anything else about her in this picture? Just saying.....

I love Reba, she is such a classic, our generations Loretta Lynn. Country girl done did good for herself theory, makes me just adore her. No clue on the designer here, but again the embroidery is amazing.

I have since learned that this is also a Marchesa dress.

The adulteress Leann Rimes was a shiner in her Lanvin dress in royal navy, Stella McCartney shoes, and Jimmy Choo clutch. The best part of her wardrobe, the man candy. Eddie Cibrian, I have loved him since his Jimmy on Third Watch days. The hottest fireman to ever grace the television screen. Can't say I blame her for ditching the Hockey Puck (pun intended).

A pretty uneventful night on the orange carpet this time. I think there must have been a pre-party somewhere that was really kicking, because just not that exciting.
Ya'll have a good day!
Love,
The Bumpkin

I just love your blog. :)

Reba looks SO fantastic! I only pray that I will age anywhere near that well. And as much as I don't really know anything about Taylor, she always looks so stunning. I think her first dress is my favorite!

I enjoyed this post!!

Taylor Swift looks beautiful, great choice of dress....I do love Marchesa.

Carrie - fabulous.

Julianne Hough - love it from the front but can't quite work out the back detail, it looks a little odd to me. Beautiful dress though.

Leanne - okay but Eddie Cibrian is for sure is the best thing about her...have loved him since "Sunset Beach" ;)

Nicole Kidman - I love her but hate what she is wearing, ugh, sorry! I think she either gets it so right or looks horrible. Love her and Keith though.

And I think the Captain has it right about Miranda, even though I have no idea who she is! Horrible and unflattering dress!

Great selections!

Happy Monday :)

Carrie and Taylor were my two favs! I loved the white dress Carrie changed into as well!

Girl... your commentary really is too much "The adultress Leanne Rhimes...ditching the hockey puck" hahaha...

I love Taylor Swift but I do think she's sort of melting away a while ago she just didn't look that thin... in reality I know its none of my business if the girl loses a few pounds, but for heavens sake can't we be over the super skinny in Hollywood era yet?

I love Julianne Hough's dress but hate that long dried out bleached ponytail behind her dress... for heaven's sake someone put some brown lowlights back into that girls hair and then top it off with some Shades ASAP!

Unfortunately, for us not only is the gladiator look still in, but it's evolved Nicole Kidman's shoes are a new trend called Gillie (or Ghillie) shoes, they are lace up shoes with no tongue.... they're supposedly "All the rage" when really they just make me want to fly into a rage for the shear tastelessness of them!

Thank you for your kind words and for your sweet prayers...from the bottom of my little ol' heart :) I love the dress that was your fave, but I think it looked better from the front than the side. I just love Carrie and everything she wears is always beautiful, but the white one at the end of the night was my favorite on her.

Brilliant post and amazing commentary as usual dear Lisa. LOL (again) at Elle's comment, I thought the exact same thing, that hair was out of control!

Love Taylor, Carrie, Reba, each one better than the next. Such fashion divas! I want to wear Carrie's dress to my next fashionable function, we must find out who makes it! :)

Poor Miranda....poor poor girl. That horrible dress did absolutely nothing for her figure. Fire that stylist STAT!

Carrie Underwood always look perfect! Her ring is stunning! Me is jealous.
I also loved the lead singer from Lady A, Hillary. Her watermelon colored dress was flawless on her.
Hope you are having a great day!

I am not into country, but I really don't care for Swift or Underwood. However, Julianne Hough is my secret country crush... and my country loving wife knows it.

Hello from Vancouver!
Thanks so much for stopping by Pinecone Camp. Glad you did too, as I'm loving your blog!!
I love how you called LeAnn Rimes the adulteress - so true. As for Eddie, I remember seeing him on Yound and the Restless....not that I ever watch ;)

I just love Taylor's and Julianne's dresses. They are just amazing. Miranda's dress is just AWEFUL! Does absolutely nothing for her! And I soooo want Carrie's dress. :)
I hardly ever watch the award shows anymore, but I do love all the fashion. Great picks!
