Captain John's Sunday Morning Jam

Mornin,

Ya'll holding the fort down? I'll tell you what we'll do today, lets break up the hum drum a little.

Let's just pretend for a little while that we are all boarding the little boat, pina colada's on board, some fresh boiled shrimp and crawfish ready for the taking. Let's head DUE SOUTH to Horn Island, get a little sun, catch a coupla big ones from the holes at the end of the island, kick back, and enjoy life. We can watch the dolphins at sunset on the way back in, throw the pelicans a few bait shrimp, and live the life we dreamed of.

This song is dedicated to all of you who are dishing out the love to me, via comments, tweets, prayers, and phone calls.

A special shout out to my buddies and biggest fans Trish & Matt. You guys are the best, dinner at The Praline Connection or Adolfo's, on me, soon agreed?

Got Bulldog?

Semper Fi,
Over And Out,
Captain John

It's like watching a video of our lives, complete with the bulldog!
I love this song, it's a Bumpkin favorite, and when it comes on the TV he cranks up the stereo and I run to the TV and dance and sing, while he just rolls his eyes, and does that little chuckle of his.....
Damn I miss our life on The Gulf of Mexico!

I must apologize for being so silent. I took many weeks away from blogging but you both and all those people whose lives have been turned upside down and altered tragically have always been on my mind. Living in the land of BP here in Houston it's hard. So much has changed & will never fully recover. All the money in the world won't fix it all.

I was pleased to read that you are having some fun this Sunday & hope you enjoy that pina colada and seafood. Rightly deserved. Hugs to you dear Bumpkin and you cont. to be in our prayers. xxx deb

It all sounds good to me especially Praline Connection! Smile was the song we danced our 'first dance' to at our wedding.

Lisa and John,

This is Matt taking over Trish's commenting tonight. I want to tell you that it meant a whole lot to me to read this post today. It always does. We appreciate you both and truly enjoy the opportunity when we can talk together. First of all thank you John for all you're doing out on the Gulf before your new venture and today. Glad to be friends with such a stand up guy.

Thank you for thinking of us and helping us make strides toward moving home. We'll see y'all soon...can't wait for dinner. You name it, we're there, and we can't wait. Take care man.

Great song :) Thinking about you lots lately! How are you holdin' up?

Thank you so much for your comment on Saturday night... how sweet it was! If I was closer I'd be baking you up a storm right now (and we would send some to Captain John) - sweets are the best comfort food!

BIG hugs!
